charlie our precious and strong angel was born october 16 2005 with a coartation of the aorta , a right hand sided diaphragmatic hernia along with other complications, the name given was MEACHAMS SYNDROME you were the longest surving baby boy to have had this syndrome, you fought hard to give us as much time as we could with you, thanks angel boy, you may of only had a short life but you were well travelled you went from liverpool womens hospital too alderhey and was then from there flown too scotlands yorkhill childrens hospital we all went with you ,mum ,dad and your three big brothers stuboo ,cal, and liam you were wanted and loved by us all so much we couldnt face being apart, ECMO was are aim for you but sadly it was not meant too be, at six weeks your organs were failing but still you hung on in there knowing we still were not ready to let you go, A week went by you ended up with septacemia i knew as you did your fight was fading fast. Me and your dad sat and made the hardest but right decision to let you go in peace with dignity, at 2months and 1 day old i was ready too give you the biggest cuddle and feel the warmth of the love we felt for each other transfer between us and your heartbroken dad, and brothers. Doctors said we had minutes . You our brave strong angel gave us hours xxx, until we felt you leave for a better place free from pain and suffering you had given us your gift of love and cuddles through your strength this was to be the only gift we could give you by making you free, you will never be forgotten as part of our family, and i know through your staying power you will never forget us, mum dad liam callum stuart and your gift to us helena,thankyou sweet boy our love for you is eternal xxxxxx. Charlie died 17th december 05.

A butterfly alights beside us like a sunbeam,
and for a brief moment its glory and beauty belong to our world and then it flies on again.
And although we wish it could have stayed,
we are so thankful to have seen it at all.

Candle In The Night
Candles flame in darkness; flicker, steadily glow.
Bringing light from shadows
and help to soothe me so.
My son, like the candles,
gave my life true light.
I use the candles beacon
to unite us in the night.
As I light the candle,
my wish and my request,
is that he'll see my signal,
and know my love's expressed.
As his light joins my light
our worlds touch and flame.
And as I snuff the candle
I softly say his name
